LOCATION
With its untouched beaches, endless greens of golf courses and tranquil waterways, Flagler County has become a Florida treasure. Tucked between the vigor of Daytona Beach and the ancient charm of St. Augustine, the county holds the key to 19 miles of natural Atlantic Ocean beaches. Considered by many to be the quiet side of Florida, it has become an appealing destination to escape from the uproar of big cities and chaos of modern life.

With that, our county also holds the conveniences of our neighboring cities just a short drive away. Here in Flagler County we have our own airport designed for small private planes and we are within an hour's drive of Orlando, Sanford, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach international airports. We have the ability to relax in our safe haven or take a short drive and enjoy our state's metropolitan areas.

In slightly more than an hour, you could travel back to your childhood at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. And, for a chance to tour NASA’s launch and landing facilities, the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral with its interactive simulators, live shows and jaw-dropping encounters is a short drive down the coast.  Our central location makes all this possible.  From amusement parks and swimming with dolphins to museums and interactive educational experiences, it's all right here.


AMENITIES
Locally, Flagler County has something for everyone. Surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway on one side and the bright blue Atlantic on the other, Flagler County is Florida living at its finest. The bright blue sky stretches as far as the eye can see over the sparkling ocean most days of the year. The county basks in sunshine nearly every day and its proximity to the ocean keeps the seasons mild with January's average temperature a moderate 57° and July's average at 83°. The annual average temperature is a comfortable 71°. Here, we can take advantage of our natural surroundings year-round.

Throughout the county, there is an abundance of recreational activities to choose from to include canoeing, kayaking, motorcycling, bird watching, hiking, biking, fishing, sailing, boating and more. There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy a picnic and take in the fresh air at one of our many parks, or head to our beaches for swimming, sunbathing or a long walk in the sand.

Palm Coast is a golfer's paradise, with some of the best golfing in Florida with eight courses in the city of Palm Coast and twelve courses in the county. It's rare to find a golf course in the United States where you can breathe in clean ocean air while putting on the green; in Flagler County there are two stunning courses resting right beside the Atlantic.

Not only is Flagler County beautiful and fun, it is also safe and clean. There is much to do and see, yet if all you want to do is sit back and relax, there is no pressure to do otherwise.  Life in Flagler County is fabulous.  Appealing to people of all ages and backgrounds, there is truly something for everyone.  The sun is shining, the golf courses are picturesque and the beaches will take your breath away.  No wonder why the people in Flagler County seem so happy.
