Leadership Flagler, a program of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, develops leaders to maximize their ability and desire to become involved and help Flagler County thrive. The three month program focuses on several aspects of the community including: business, government, health & human services, art & culture, agriculture and growth management.
Through education and networking, Leadership Flagler provides tools and experiences necessary to the development of well-rounded community leaders. Participants are selected though an application process, led by the Alumni Council. The Average class size is fifteen and represents a cross section of our community. Organizers strive to create a diverse group of community leaders and participants must commit to a high standard of attendance and participation in all sessions. Absence from more than two days of class
may result in termination from the program. The Alumni Council is a group of post graduates from Leadership Flagler. The Council helps develop curriculum for future leadership sessions, as well as offer unique opportunities to better understand and improve the Flagler Community by educational programs and a platform for networking. Tuition for each participant in Leadership Flagler is $500.00 ($700.00 for non-Chamber members), which covers all costs and membership for the first year.
Each class is expected to plan and implement a community service project prior to graduation. Click here to learn about the Leadership Flagler 18 class project, bringing Dolly's Parton's Imagination Library, an international literacy program to Flagler County.
