| Need Help with College Financial Aid Forms? |
The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates has thirty trained volunteers ready to help local high school students and their families capture a share of more than $145 billion in federal financial aid available.
Nearly every student, regardless of income or circumstances is eligible for some form of financial aid, and sadly, up to eight million students each year do not even apply. A primary reason is that the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) is very complicated and time-consuming to complete. Recognizing that local high school seniors must overcome this challenge, the Chamber, Flagler County Public Schools and a group of local volunteers hope to give students tools and information they need to make it easier to apply for and ultimately obtain financial aid.
Volunteer mentors will be available to meet individually with students and their families February 8 and 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matanzas High School, and on February 10 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flagler Palm Coast High School. If you would like to learn more, or sign up for a one-on-one appointment, please call the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates at 386.437.0106. |
