COMMUNITY EVENTS CALENDAR
The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce along with other civic and community organizations are continually bringing and hosting festive events and gatherings in Flagler County. From cookouts and 5k runs to street parties and formal dinners, Flagler County offers a wide range of events and family-friendly activities throughout the year.
The Chamber itself hosts events all year long. From monthly Business After Hours networking events to breakfast meetings and Chamber dinners, there is always something going on.
The Chamber also hosts five major events each year: Taste of Flagler, Potato Festival, Fabulous Fourth Festivities, Chamber Golf Tournament and Creekside Festival. All of these events are fun for everyone and three of them are free.
Flagler County's events vary widely:
The winter holidays bring “Celebrating the Holidays,” a month-long festival commemorating the holiday season. Parades, games, tree lighting, and various other types of entertainment draw residents into the street to observe the holiday.
In February, the African American Cultural Society sponsors a Black Heritage Day. At this educational, yet fun, event one will find ethnic foods, games and live music.
Cracker Day, a Flagler favorite, gives residents and visitors a glimpse into how the west side of the county was won. The day is filled with barbecue, rodeo and visiting with fellow cowfolk. Cracker Day is traditionally held the last Saturday in March.
The Fiesta Italiano, held in October, is a celebration of Italian heritage. The Italian Americans of Flagler definitely know how to celebrate at this event that promotes heritage awareness with great food and a carnival atmosphere.
Keep checking our Community Calendar throughout the year ~ you'll be sure to find plenty to do!
